In 2002 I went with my wife and kids to Maui. Besides doing the beach, touring and just hanging out and relaxing, I really wanted to do some kayaking off the coast of Maui. I found a local guy, Ron Bass who I connected with.
I wanted to paddle my usual sit inside kayak, but Ron had a better idea - a sit on top with thigh braces that acted like a sit inside, but you could fall out of and get right back in.
We had great time playing in the rock pools near Makena Beach and even did a seal landing. A great afternoon of kayaking!
